Surlyn Skin Packaging Film- Adhesive Applied

This skin packaging film has a special, heat-activated adhesive applied, making it ideal for applications where regular surlyn does not stick to the card well.  It can also be used with uncoated cards or cardboard.

Surlyn Skin Pack Film is a extremely strong, high clarity, highly durable packaging film made from DuPont™ Surlyn® resin. We use only the finest DuPont™ Surlyn® virgin polymer resins in our Skin Packaging film. Precision manufacturing and gauging equipment assure product quality and consistency of dimension control. It is used in conjunction with a specially coated board to create a protective and/or retail package.

     The strength of DuPont™ Surlyn® resin makes it ideal for pilfer-proof packaging.  Extreme clarity makes it a great fit for printed skin sheets.  Dark inks will keep their tone and not be drowned out by the haze and opacity of other packaging films.  Surlyn films strength also makes it a great companion to backer boards with a hang hole.  The strength of the card and the film together make it almost impossible for the product to rip off of the hang rail.  For more information on Dupont Surlyn, click here.

     Another popular use of surlyn is for creating a secure, yet visually appealing packaging for small parts.  Examples of industries that use skin packaging for this purpose are the aircraft, hydraulics and plumbing industries.  They often make kits with lots of small parts and pieces.  Using surlyn to package these small parts ensures they will not get lost, while allowing the user to visually see all of the pieces.
